What is dry eye?
It is a syndrome that can manifest itself in a lack of tears or of poor quality, causing poor lubrication on the surface of the eye.

Dry Eye
It is a three-dimensional layer with an aqueous, mucinous and lipid component. It is a body fluid that forms a type of natural contact lens made up of water, mucus and enzymes that mix with blinking. Depending on its quality, the friction index is lower, and therefore the feeling of well-being, bright eye and vision quality can improve.

Diagnóstico y tratamiento
At Ofa we have qualified personnel who are in charge of diagnosing and treating dry eye. A team made up of Ophthalmologists, Physiotherapists specialized in lymphatic drainage, Optometrist, cornea specialist and Rheumatologist accompanies patients throughout the process.
With the state-of-the-art technology of the Antares team, we can give an exact diagnosis and classify the degree of dry eye, ocular redness, the number of Meibomian glands, the number of tears that remain in the eye and the degree of tear film rupture.
The E-Eye is a pulsed laser treatment used to reduce inflammation by activating the parasympathetic nerve endings and the Meibomian glands. It is complemented with manual lymphatic drainage and heat to improve the functioning and quality of the tear.
The Tear Lab measures osmolarity to determine treatment for the patient.
Duration of treatment: sessions are scheduled every 15 days in a space of two months.
Results: improves the quality of the tear, improves vision, improves the red eye, deflates the eyelids, decreases the tired appearance and increases the brightness of the eyes.
